International Arbitrator
Transactional Experience
Greg V. Etter’s transactional experience gives him an advantageous perspective as an arbitrator. He has personally negotiated a very broad variety of domestic and international agreements and has an in-depth understanding of all phases of commercial relationships.
As Vice President and General Counsel of Battle Mountain Gold, Greg negotiated numerous domestic and international joint ventures, leases, options and other contracts. He also negotiated numerous agreements with domestic and foreign governments, including Contracts of Work in Indonesia and Joint Ventures in Bolivia. He oversaw the development of forms and procedures for negotiating large scale construction contracts. Greg was integrally involved in all aspects of the 3.25 Billion Dollar merger of Battle Mountain and Newmont Mining Corporation.
Prior to joining Battle Mountain, Greg was engaged in the private practice of law, focusing on transactional work for the international mining industry. He advised clients on a large variety of contracts, including joint ventures; leases; options; deeds; purchase agreements; financing agreements; surface owner’s agreements; cotenants agreements; confidentiality agreements; access agreements; partition agreements; partnership agreements; and boundary agreements.
